Support Independent Research & Community Transparency

Helping Our Community Make Informed Decisions

Pott County Data Watch is a grassroots community effort committed to gathering facts, reviewing public information, and providing residents with access to independent research regarding proposed data center development and its potential impacts on our county.

Support Community Research

Independent Information for Informed Decisions

Community members deserve access to independent information and expert analysis so they can make informed decisions regarding major development projects that affect their homes, families, and county.

Here's what we need. Our mission requires funding for public records requests, expert analysis, website maintenance, and educational materials.

Here's why we need it. Reviewing public documents, commissioning independent expert reviews, and organizing community resources takes time and financial resources that our volunteer organization cannot provide alone.

Here's what we've spent. All donations are tracked and documented. Major expenditures and project updates are shared transparently with our community.

What We Don't Do

Pott County Data Watch was created to help residents access information and understand the potential impacts of major development projects affecting our community. To maintain public trust and credibility, we believe it is equally important to be clear about what we do not do.

We Do Not:

  • × Endorse political candidates or political parties
  • × Accept direction from developers, corporations, political organizations, or outside advocacy groups
  • × Promote misinformation, rumors, or unverified claims
  • × Predetermine outcomes before facts and evidence are reviewed
  • × Oppose or support projects solely based on ideology
  • × Speak on behalf of every resident of Pottawatomie County

Instead, We:

  • Encourage transparency and public participation
  • Promote fact-based discussion and respectful dialogue
  • Review publicly available information and documents
  • Support independent expert analysis when appropriate
  • Help residents understand benefits, risks, and unanswered questions
  • Advocate for informed decision-making based on evidence

Our mission is simple: provide community members with access to information, independent research, and public resources so they can make their own informed decisions about the future of Pottawatomie County.
